America's Bed Bug Hot Spots
Where are Americans fighting bed bugs right now? We analyzed 12 months of customer purchase data across 1,000+ U.S. cities to find out.
Every year, pest control companies release bed bug rankings based on the cities where they dispatch the most technicians. But that only tells you where their trucks go — not where the problem actually lives.
This report takes a different approach. We analyzed 12 months of real customer purchase data from Premo Guard's bed bug treatment products — shipped directly to homes in every corner of the country. The result is a ground-level view of where Americans are actively battling bed bugs, from major metros to towns you won't find on any other list.

Key Findings
Southern Dominance
Nearly half of the top 20 cities are in the South, with Louisiana claiming both the #1 and #18 spots.
Small Town Surprise
Cities with populations under 50,000 made up nearly a third of the list — places traditional pest control rankings miss entirely.
California's Hidden Crisis
California placed four cities in the top 20 — more than any other state — spanning from San Diego to Porter Ranch.
The Self-Treatment Wave
Our data captures a population invisible to pest control companies: people solving the problem themselves with natural treatments before calling an exterminator.
Regional Breakdown
Methodology
Rankings are based on Premo Guard customer purchase volume of bed bug treatment products between April 2025 and April 2026, covering orders shipped to more than 1,000 U.S. cities.
Unlike rankings from pest control service companies — which reflect where their technicians are dispatched — this data captures self-treatment activity: real people purchasing natural bed bug solutions to handle infestations on their own terms.
This represents a fundamentally different dataset. Pest control company rankings favor large metro areas where they maintain service operations. Our data has no geographic bias — we ship everywhere.
Is Your City on the List?
Don't wait for an infestation to get worse. Premo Guard's plant-based bed bug spray kills on contact — naturally.
